1. Why we publish this policy
From time to time we coordinate small fulfilments of the picks listed on our website. When a piece arrives at your home in Finland and turns out not to be the right fit, you should know exactly what to do. This page describes our return policy in plain terms so that the process feels as calm as the rest of our work.
2. Window for returns
You may request a return within fourteen calendar days of receiving the package. This is in line with the consumer rights that apply to distance sales in Finland and the wider European Union. The fourteen-day count begins on the day after the parcel was delivered to the address you provided.
3. Condition of the item
To be eligible for a return, the item should be in essentially the same condition as it arrived: unused beyond a careful inspection, with the original packaging, accessories, tags and any protective wrapping still in place. We understand that you may need to handle the item to evaluate it; we ask only that you treat it gently while you decide.
4. Items that cannot be returned
For hygiene and quality reasons, a small number of items cannot be returned once their protective seal has been opened. Where this applies to a pick, the relevant detail is noted on the product description on our picks page. Custom or made-to-order pieces are also non-returnable unless they arrived defective.
5. Starting a return
To start a return, please write to us through the contacts page within the fourteen-day window. Include your order reference, the item you wish to return and, where helpful, a short note explaining the reason. We will reply with simple, written instructions on how to send the item back, including the return address and any reference number to include with the parcel.
6. Shipping a return
You are responsible for arranging the return shipment unless we agreed otherwise in writing. We strongly recommend using a tracked service so that the parcel can be located in transit. The risk of loss or damage during return shipping rests with the sender until the parcel reaches our address in Helsinki.
7. Inspection and refund
Once the parcel arrives, we will inspect the item within a few working days. If it meets the conditions described above, we will issue a refund for the price of the item using the same payment method that was used at the time of purchase. Original shipping costs are refunded only where the return is the result of an error on our side or a defect in the item.
8. Defective or damaged items
If an item arrives defective, damaged in transit or different from what you ordered, please write to us as soon as you can, ideally within seven calendar days of delivery. Where possible, attach a short description and a photograph of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including the return shipping cost, in line with applicable consumer law.
9. Refund timing
Refunds are typically processed within five to ten working days from the moment the returned item passes inspection. The exact time it takes for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
10. Cooling-off rights
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you have under Finnish consumer law, including the right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days without giving a reason. Those rights apply in addition to, and not instead of, the steps described above.
11. Questions
If anything about this policy is unclear, or if you would like to talk through a specific situation before starting the return process, please write to us. We are happy to walk you through the steps in advance. You can find the form on the contacts page.
