A small studio with a calm point of view

We are a quiet team based in Helsinki, writing about the small ergonomic habits that make long desk days easier to carry.

Our story

Drainingregen began as a notebook of personal observations: a designer tweaking screen height, a writer adjusting chair tilt, an editor adding gentle breaks between long sessions. Over time, those notes turned into a guide — and the guide turned into this small studio.

We are not gadget enthusiasts. We are quietly curious about how the desk, the chair and the rhythm of a day can fit one person at a time. Our approach is simple: notice what feels off, change one thing, and give it room to settle.

Today, we share that approach with desk workers across Finland — from home offices in Munkkiniemi to shared studios in Kallio — through a guide, a small selection of picks, and the occasional friendly note from our inbox.

What guides us

Three principles, kept simple

Light, not loud

We favour small, repeatable habits over bold promises. Calm always beats clever.

Honest framing

Plain language, clear context, no overstated claims. If something is unclear, we say so.

Reader first

We are here to help you choose what fits. Anything we recommend is something we would use ourselves.
